It wasn't on any map that I managed to find. It wasn't listed in any guidebook I had. It wasn't well known by the locals. It was just there.

Built by Ali Pasha Tepelena in the 17th century, this massive fortress seemed to be unmolested by history, but was loosing its battle with the local plant life. As I was digging through its narrow corridors, I felt like Indiana Jones on the hunt for treasure . . . it was damn scary inside.
